I hope all have inspected their stoves and chimneys and cleaned them if necessary. Myself i did cleaning the stove and catalysis and its combustion chamber. I must have mixed in a few wetter splits and my creosote build up was a little more than expected. Nothing alarming, but I feel a lot safer it has been removed.

I figure I have used at least 3 cords and my home is comfortable. Better yet, I'm still on the oil fill in my tank before the start of the season, having still a half left

amazing I witnessed my solar hot water system blowing off steam when it was 16 degrees out and each day the sun grows stronger. The oil burner rarely kicks in, to augment my hot water demands.

all is well with me except the lack of work a few here and there but my wife is in the health care field , the one steady of employment we are getting by.

Building and inspections never picked up, even with energy credits for wood stoves. It seems all those that would have bought already did, due to the Katrina effect, last year ice storm, and the home heating oil scare last year of over $4 per gallon.

surprisingly there were very few pellet stove inspections / installations this year and no real clamor of pellet shortages if willing to pay over $250 per ton

So how has you heating season gone?

they have a black backgroung so the snow melts away top to bottom

Aslo you can make the angle slanting towards the sun steeper by 10% and not effect the heat collection which sheds snows even better .

finally since I can reach them with a broam on a 16' pole it is also and easy solution

I run the brush up through at least three times a season.

Two good fires both last night and tonight.

COLD today for a late March day filled with sunshine
